The Carl Metz Training Center is a Nationally Accredited Paramedic Training Institution recognized by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), as well as the Pennsylvania Department of Health`s Bureau of Emergency Medical Services. It is a collaborative effort of Mutual Aid Ambulance Service, UPMC, and the University of Pittsburgh.
Mutual Aid Ambulance Service Inc. offers a variety of training programs to meet the training needs for individuals in the community. The education program provides training to businesses, community leaders, youth groups, local organizations, fire departments and individuals looking to obtain CPR, AED and First Aid training. Individuals seeking advancement in the Healthcare field may enroll in the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Paramedic Certification Programs. Healthcare providers seeking continuing education credits can obtain the necessary classes offered to maintain certification and licensure. Specialized programs are also available to train members of law enforcement in emergency medical care.
Mutual Aid Ambulance Service Inc. holds classes at the Carl Metz Memorial Training Center located at our corporate headquarters located in Greensburg, PA as well as at the Public Safety Training Building at the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport in Latrobe, PA. Education is the core to public safety and our mission is to provide a variety of educational programs at one of our training centers or scheduled at your location. Mutual Aid provides qualified American Heart Association (AHA) Pennsylvania and Nationally Registered instructors for certification courses. The training center is certified as a Pennsylvania Department of Health training site, and is registered at the National level by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs.
